2.0.2.4.
Not all my new beginnings have had new ends. Most took a circuitous, sometimes scenic or joyful, usually adventurous route but then unceremoniously found me back at the same place I started. Others had milestones, carefully placed and sincerely tracked, excitedly celebrated upon arrival. Often too excitedly, leading to an abrupt apparation back to square one, maybe two, but even minus one. Very few have genuinely resulted in a wonderful journey and culminated in a solid destination, laying the groundwork for future excursions brimming with promise and potential.
How many times are we allowed to keep making resolutions that we know we will inevitably break? How long are we able to keep trusting in promises that we've failed to keep, fallen short on or walked away from on numerous occasions?
How many new beginnings are we granted in a limited lifetime, and does our track record of squandering second chances limit our future allowance?
From personal experience - infinite. Because the universe doesn't begrudge anyone who tries. It is kind. Kinder than we are to ourselves. And gloriously full of possibility. So much so that nothing ever feels impossible.
So here's to yet another try. One more picking ourselves up and going back to the start. A newest new beginning. This one has Eight Limbs, and tends to Infinity. May it be our best one yet.
